Raising Horses Temperaments

Post by Moggymoomoo »

Hi! I've started training lots of my own horses and am having some trouble raising their temperaments. They are in a barn

on weight gain mix, but I haven't seen any change in their temperaments even though they are being fed sugary, low fibre feed. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong? I've never been good with temperaments lol :P
Thanks!

Was they born bombproof ?as if they was they probably won’t change sadly
But Try stick them in a pasture as it’s easier to change temps in them then barns and use
yellow corn as that should make the temps move if they are not born bombproof

And if you want the temps to go down again use hay

In the pastures tho the weight might go up quicker but you can help slow it down by cutting the grass

That’s how I normally do it but it is tricky for some of the temps as I stuggle as well

There is also this guide done by another player which also might help

Hope that helps

As a final suggestion, once they're in their second year, you should be able to switch them over to straight yellow corn in the barn. Also very helpful if you need to maintain energy for training and force them to loose weight at the same time (95% yellow corn only does the trick).

And this final note: I have found that temp changes can also be bred for. Some horses will change temps fast, every turn or so, others will be much slower, taking months to change from one temp level to the next. I've had (before the new server) a couple of horses take literal horse years to move out of bombproof to calm and then a good year thereafter between levels.
