Foal Surprise(?)

Currently in full breeding mode (mayhem ) to attain Low COI Norman Cobs to put to use in my Percy project, and popped this charming, yet sadly N/A Eval for current uses; ❈ R⍵R ❈ Imperial Nimbus


Kept him around as I can’t bring myself to part with him just yet, however I’ve noticed at 11 months old, this boi is an absolute UNIT
Currently standing 19.1hh, and yet both sire & dam are only maxing around 16hh Seems grandparent’s genes have suddenly kicked in?

Has anyone else had some dud-ish foals that have surprised them in terms of appearance / height?
