Fewer competitions?

Did I miss some announcement somewhere that the list of competitions were getting cleaned up or something? It seems like the list of available competitions has been decimated pretty much overnight and I was wondering if there was a reason. Where did they all go? It's suddenly hard to find competitions that are either profitable or that I can afford for my horses anymore. Thanks in advance for any insight.
