Help Breeding the Kabarda
I am trying to breed the Kabarda and keep getting grades.
Do the foundation horses have to be the exact mix listed or can they simply have those breeds included? In other words, does it have to be [Turkoman x Persian Arab] or could it be [mixed Persian Arab xTurkoman]
Also, could I breed the grades together to get the breed?
Thank-you so much for the help!!

Just as long as there are only the breeds listed to create breed you want. Plus, it must be on the correct side.
Here's a few examples:
Kabarda = [Arabian x Mongolian] X [Persian Arabian x Turkmene]
You can have mong x arab, part mong x arab, mixed arab x mong... but you can't have [turk x arab] x [mong x per arab]
Karachia = [Andalusian x Cleveland Bay] X Kabarda
You can have mix kabarda (even if it's like 12%) but not kabard x arab and also not [Andy x kabarda] x cleveland
However...
Kirgiz = Turkmene X Mongolian
This mix you can get straight and you can also achieve it by using two crosses: [turk x mong] x [turk x mong]
Recommended you use 50/50 for these ones though, I haven't done a test to see if non 50/50 works and I haven't herd definitely from anybody that non 50/50's work.
Most likely, your problem with the Kabarda will be that your foals are too tall. Check the foals that you're producing from the parents (all those grades) and take a look to see how closely they match the Kabarda. Adjust your parents as needed, for example, if one parent is consistently throwing taller foals, pair that parent with a shorty.
Does that help at all?
