Mmm.
I'm working on both of these first two breeds.

I'm aiming for the brown for these exmoors, so it'll take me a couple more to get to my goals. I've got a pair of mares (all non-exmoor) in brown and brown pangare and a stallion, but COI is a problem. I'll work on it. :D Plus, the added benefit of good HGP and comp genes.

That's going to be a tough mountain to climb! But certainly a great goal (and great looking, at the end!).

I wonder how long all of the breeds will take? I remember when I went through the recipe quests, it took me a year and a half to get through them all.

Long, So Long! Even with a lot of people working on some of them, some of the breeds are likely to be a bit painful. Luckily, the community has almost all of these breeds around here somewhere. So some of the future breeds will likely be best bred from grades and old-line purebreds. At least, less painful! :P

That said, it'd probably be most prudent for us to develop a number of low COI grades (or no COI grades) in black, plain coats so we can control the color. All of my grades are gone. But my competition line has some low-breed percentage horses that could theoretically easily become grades again. That said, COI is high in them. So... many issues... unless we ignore stronger BR's and HGP's. Focus solely or almost solely on COI control and getting as close as we can to the standards that larissar gives us on these breeds.

My first gen Exmoors are almost wholly horse types and on the lighter end of the breed standard. But the other points (short back, long manes, no markings, etc.) they're also mainly uniform and look good. If memory serves, that's what tarpans usually throw. If we're not careful, the exmoor population we're developing will end up being too much horse.

Yeah I don’t have any stored ac projects from the quests so I’m just starting from scratch good job I’ve got a decent amount of pony tokens stored from the mass amount of breeding I’ve been doing these last few months  although I’m not sure when my premium runs out lmao

Grades would be good to have but so many things to consider as well like which to focus on more

Yeah I’ve not bred any yet but gunna try and keep the height down so they don’t get to horse type🤞

It's not the height, they're relatively perfect for height, it's the build. The prze's should be pulling the type down toward pony (bulky body), but they're already so close to one another, tarpans and prze's... both breeds skirting the line between pony and horse... too easy for the tarpan to take over and walk them toward lightweight horse types.

Just something to keep an eye on.

Anyway, find your premium time on the upgrade benefits page, should be right there, kind of like a banner across the top.

From my notes, we can make do with a grade that's a heavier horse type (right in the medium range) and right around 14 hands, 13 hands is even better, but no shorter, a grade that's heavy pony (but not the super heavy, medium heavy or heavy works best) and about 16 hands, but 15 hands might be more useful... and then a mini of the horse type (the lighter the better) and somewhere under 11 hands, in inches is even better. That should take care of almost every breed we will need, to reset the body forms toward where it should be. Three grades.

Pinning down the conformation toward optimum for each breed will be a harder job to tackle.

These first couple will be relatively easy, one of the reasons I'm starting from scratch as well, but although I plan to help out in the future, I likely won't be participating in every one. :P Been through that once, I'm still traumatized! :o

Looking to breed to Exmoor stallions (no matter generation) as long as low and no COI to work toward the brown into the breed.

Murky Daybreak

Have this mare and one other for this project as well as an unrelated brown stallion.
At this time, I need a match for the mare above to produce a second filly. I've already used Must Traveller who is larissar's stud.

Exmoor doesn't need to be purebred, but does need to be unnamed other breeds. Also doesn't need to be quality (5 star), just as long as he's not too tall. I'd prefer to deal with no other color genes than what either parent breed already has, but some color genes I can handle.

I have this guy I got off the market the other day , does he work for you ?
I do have a colt that I’ve bred with my own ac but he’s has a red comment as only Gen 1 and only one I produced so far
He’s in the same pasture as the guy above

Not presently concerned with BR color, comments, etc. Hard enough to get the brown dealt with. ;) But I have two lines going currently, the brown line is separate from the exmoor line, to be laced in when they're grades or something.

Anyway, they'll both do nicely. As long as you don't mind me doing so. Looking for a couple of fillies and that'll be that for now. :?

Let me know if you need something. I'm sure you will. :P
