Australian Brumby, Cape Horse, Fleuva

Post by Corvus »

Australian Brumby: Australian Stock Horse x Australian Pony
Foals Bred: 15
Last breed for both the Australian Stock Horse and the Australian Pony! I only have the one Australian Pony and he's 3*

Rampant Snowdrift

He's 8% too horse and on the top of the range for body size and bottom for height. My Australian Stock Horse mare is 4* and just a little too tall

Cool Mushroom

She's on the high end of the range for type which goes well with Snowdrift. Size might be the biggest issue. She's in the middle, but it's a pretty narrow range, so it might be hard to hit. Especially since these two have had several foals together and none of them came out as Brumbies. But they're what I have to work with.

I'd bred a bunch of half Australian Stock Horses and Australian Ponies and got some good ones, but Mushroom came through with a winner!

Breezy Surprise

Pretty sure this is the last breed for both of the recipe breeds so now I got a lot to get rid of

Quest Complete 18 May 24!

Cape Horse: Persian Arabian x Java
Foals Bred: 1
My Java is 0*. Too short, too thicc, too pony

Demonic Ink

My Persian Arabian is 3*. She's a little too horse and too short

Salt Drama

Not great, but I can work with this. Although the biggest issue I have is that they're both mares. And since it seems unlikely either of these breeds are up for sale or stud, that means I'm gonna make some half Javas since my Java is way off and I also need em for the Fleuva.

First try!

Rumbling Dewdrop

Quest Complete 18 May 24!

Fleuva: NAB x Java
Foals Bred: 13
Same Java as before, exact same problems, except she's ever so slightly closer in height and type for this breed.

Demonic Ink

So I think after I get a few half Javas from Ink, I'll breed her to a NAB. I think that NABs should offset her issues well enough.

Got a good half Java and found a good NAB stud and after a few tries, got this one done!

Plateau Persian, Arappaloosa, American Creme and White

Post by Corvus »

Plateau Persian: Arabian x Persian Arabian
Foals Bred: 4
My Persian Arabian is too tall.

Sol Eclipse

Fortunately, I can have 0% size and 100% horse, and Arabians are good at being light. So I really just need to find a shorter mare and I should be good. This is the mare I picked up

Patriotic

I didn't breed her to eclipse because I found a 5* Persian Arabian stud. So hopefully that works out, although they're actually both on the short side, so I may end up with too short of foals.

A fairly quick one!

Noble Fireworks

Quest Complete 20 May 24!

Arappaloosa: Arabian x Appaloosa
Foals Bred: 7
I have two 5* Appaloosa mares!

Umber Voyager

Terrified Freeze

Both are in the middle of the range on size and type. I'd almost rather have them a little too pony and thicc since Arabian studs are likely to be too light, but even if I can find a stud that's okay, these two should work out.

Got this one done!

Nuclear Bluebell

Quest Complete 10 May 24!

American Creme and White: (TB x QH) x (Arabian x Morgan)
Foals Bred: 8
My best TB is this filly

Hazel Cobbler

She's 8% too pony and I think I want a little extra poniness where I can get it since I have an upper limit of 75% horse and Arabians and Morgans are usually more like 90%. Of course, big problem is that she's really young. So I'll age her up quickly.

I do have multiple 5* QHs so I think I might focus on breeding from that angle. May not even need Hazel as there should be plenty of TB studs.

My Morgans aren't thicc and too horse as predicted, but I have this mare who is actually okay on horsiness!

Astonishing Duchess

She's only about 2% off in thiccness but kinda short. But I should manage to find a taller Arabian. And if I can find one that is just maybe ever so slightly thiccer, then this could work out!

I got a 5* TB x QH mare!

Bubblegum Drop

Unfortunately I have not managed to get an Arabian x Morgan stallion who is decent at all. There are studs available but also not good. I suppose I might as well try though?

Didn't need to worry about getting a good Arabian x Morgan stallion, cause the mares got it done!

Boerperd, Sudan Country-Bred, Indianbred

Post by Corvus »

Boerperd: (TB x Hackney) x Cape Horse
Foals Bred: 2
I knew this one was gonna be next so I already bred some TB x Hackneys. I should have all that I need, including this 5* filly

Revolutionary Chickadee

My Cape Horse is way too horse, but he's all I have to work with, so

Rumbling Dewdrop

On the plus side, I should have all 50/50 Hackney x TBs so the reject foals will be half Cape Horses, so hopefully they might be a little more on the pony side. Might end up having to make extra Cape Horses too

Ended up being a quick one! No need for the half Cape Horses this time

Feather Thief

Quest Complete 24 May 24!

Sudan Country-Bred: TB x (Arabian x Dongola)
Foals Bred: 7
I only have one Dongola but he's at least 4*

Crunching Spots

He's just too short, so I can find a taller Arabian mare to breed to him. Then I think I should be able to find a TB that will be a good match if I don't already have one. I may already have some Arabians from the Creme and Whites too.

Got a 5* filly!

Raspy Twig

First foal has aged up. He's 4* and 2% too horse

Starlit Trove

I'll have to see if there's a good TB mare I can buy since mine aren't gonna work for this breed.

The TB mare I got worked out!

Demonic Courage

Quest Complete 25 May 24!

Indianbred: Kathiawari x (TB x Waler)
Foals Bred: 7
My Kathiawari has been sitting around, waiting for me to get to this breed for a long time. He's a 5* so that's good

Ultimate Wisdom

Just gotta put him back up for stud.

Out of my Walers, this is the best

Finders Wildcat

She's too short, as are the rest of the herd. The others are also too pony. My TBs are too pony and too thicc for this one, but fortunately, I found a 5* stud right away so I'll use them. Since I only have a Kathiawari stallion, I'll probably only keep fillies, but if I get a 5* colt, I may keep him, as reject foals will be half Kathiawaris

And done!

King Knight

I think that's the last for Kathiwaris and Walers and Indianbred may be an end breed too which would be nice.

Calvinia Horse, Pahlavan, American Saddlebred

Post by Corvus »

Calvinia Horse: Anglo-Arabian x Boerperd
Foals Bred: 148
Last horse for Anglo-Arabians! First breed I'm making from Boerperds. All three of my Boerperds are 15% too pony, one is too short and one is also a little too thicc. My best is my mare who is only too pony, but she's preganate right now so gonna breed some Anglo-Arabians to this guy.

Intergalactic Harp

I conveniently have this 4* mare

Lavender Fern

She's too tall, but on the horsier and not thicc side of things, which should match with Harp well. I'd have to unfreeze her though, so I'll see what other mares I have.

So this is taking a long time, and I think the biggest issue is my Boerperds are so far off that it's making it hard for one foal to hit all the numbers. So I'm gonna have to make some half Boerperds. I actually should have done this a while ago but better late than never I guess

Here's my first half Boerperd

Brazen Remedy

He's still 10% too pony, but that's better than the 15% I was working with and I think he'll be shorter, which should hopefully be good because a lot of the foals are coming out too tall.

I CAN'T BELIEVE MY PAIN IS FINALLY OVER I FINALLY GOT THIS ONE

About Time

I've got some half Anglo-Arabians that were starting to get close to breeding age so of course I don't need them now, but whatever it's fine I got this and I no longer need any Anglo-Arabians I am free

Quest Complete 7 June 2024!

Pahlavan: TB x Plateau Persian
Foals Bred: 1
I have one Plateau Persian and he's a 4*

Noble Fireworks

Forgot to age him up, but it won't take long. The TB mare I used for the Sudan Country-Bred is also 5* for this one so I'll keep her and maybe see if there's another one I can buy once Fireworks is aged up.

No need for any other TBs cause I got this one on the first try!

Destiny's Rainstorm

Quest Complete 27 May 24!

American Saddlebred: (Morgan x Hackney) x (Narragansett Pacer x Canadian Pacer)
Foals Bred: 4
I was putting this one and Standardbreds off cause I feel like they're gonna unlock a bunch of things, but time to get on it.

Most of my Morgans are too short and some are too horse as well. This one is my best mare.

Braided Drop

And then this 5* stallion

Financial Glory

I have this 5* Hackney stallion

Prickly Blitz

And 8 other 5* Hackneys. So I'm good there, I guess. So I'll breed some of my 5* mares to Financial Glory and honestly, I should be okay just doing that. I probably don't even need Braided Drop here cause she might bring the height down too much.

I have one Canadian Pacer who is too short

Elusive Spice

And a terrible Narragansett Pacer

Salt Trove

I may need to try for taller Hackney x Morgans since the two pacers are short. Hopefully I can get this at least somewhat close though, even if I can't get a perfect horse.

Got it done pretty quick!

Basotho Pony, Mangalarga Paulista, Tawleed

Post by Corvus »

Basotho Pony: Java x Cape Horse
Foals Bred: 29
My main Cape Horse, who the others are all descended from is slightly too tall and 15% too horse. Which means that all my others are probably in the same boat.

This colt is the best I have as far as horsiness goes

Zesty No Twilight

Only 8% off, but he is quite thicc. I have two Cape Horse mares. One is 10% too horse but 15% too thicc and the other is 13% too horse. So not the ideal start here. But let's see what I have for Javas.

5* stallion!

Swirled Galaxy

5* mare!

Orange Victory

Orange is 18, so I'm gonna actually breed her to Galaxy and get hopefully more 5* Javas. If I get another 5* filly, then I'll start using her to go for the Basotho. I do have some other decent Javas to work with, although the Cape Horses are gonna be making everyone horsey.

Got one!

Nuclear Sonnet

Quest Complete 8 Jun 24!

Mangalarga Paulista: (TB x Mangalarga Machador) x (Arabian x American Saddlebred)
Foals Bred: 40
This is the only breed I need the Mangalarga Machador for, so I've been trying to breed them to be closer to what I need. And I have this 5* stallion!

Indigo Defense

I also have a handful of 4* horses.

I'm pretty good with TBs. I don't have any 5* but I have several that aren't off by much and many that are just a bit too pony and/or too thicc, which could be a good thing since I gotta mix an Arabian in here. This mare is only 4% too pony, so I think I'll use her and maybe one other? Maybe one of my Mangalarga Machadors just to make the cross each way I guess

Blueberry Ancestor

My American Saddlebreds are too light. And of course, mixing them with an Arabian isn't gonna help. Which makes me think I might wanna use some of my thiccer TBs in here just to hopefully get a better balance. But I'll see what's out there as far as Arabians go. Maybe someone has some thicc studs.

Got a 5* TB x MM filly!

Outspoken Waterfall

And got the new breed!

Imperial Lumber

That should be the only breed I needed the Mangalarga Machador for and I believe this is an end breed too

Quest Complete 14 Jun 24!

Tawleed: TB x Sudan Country-Bred
Foals Bred: 16
This Sudan Country-Bred mare is 4* and only 5% too horse

Point Exchange

She's gonna be the best I have to work with since my other filly is way too horse and my stallion is too light too. So Point Exchange and whatever TB stallion is slightly too pony I guess? Probably this one

Sneaky Tangerine

Done!

M'Bayar, National Show Horse, Vlaamperd

Post by Corvus »

M'Bayar: NAB x Basotho Pony
Foals Bred: 5
My Basotho is too tall and 7% too pony.

Nuclear Sonnet

I should be able to find a NAB that is a little more horsey. Just hope I can find one that is also on the shorter side. I might go ahead and make a half Basotho or two before I start working on this just so I have some more to work with

Found some good studs and got this one pretty quick!

Elusive Duchess

Quest Complete 15 Jun 24!

National Show Horse: Arabian x American Saddlebred
Foals Bred: 2
I made several of these on accident while trying to make an Arabian x American Saddlebred cross for one of the last breeds, so I used that same mare with a 5* Arabian

Marshmallow Wave

Now watch this take forever since I'm actually trying to make one now

Thankfully, this was quick!

Tawny Rumble

Quest Complete 14 Jun 24!

Vlaamperd: (Friesian x Hackney) x (TB x Boerperd)
Foals Bred: 42
I've sorta kinda been trying to make sure my Friesians were what I'd need for this breed because this has been my last Friesian breed for a while. I do have a 5* mare

Golden Production

I have a bunch of 4* Friesians as well but most of them are lacking thiccness and I think I'm gonna need that to go with the Hackney. So I might try to use some of the too tall ones, especially if I have a shorter Hackney.

My best Hackney is of course one of my oldest ones

Flaming Locks

The rest are even less thicc and horsey, so hopefully I can get some foals from him before I lose him.

I have a lot of TBs to go through. So let's see. I have a 4* mare who is about 12% not thicc

Snort by the Splinter

A 2* stallion who isn't off by huge amounts anywhere

Sneaky Tangerine

And some 0*s who are too short but less than 5% off in the other categories. So I have something to work with. Gotta check the Boerperds now

This is my best Boerperd

Intergalatic Harp

He's off by 3% in size. Not ideal, but hopefully he can manage to make a slightly thiccer foal.

And done!

Dynamic for Doom

Nooitgedacht Pony, Standardbred, Fouta

Post by Corvus »

Nooitgedacht Pony: (Arabian x Boerperd) x Basotho Pony
Foals Bred: 12
Last breed from all three of the recipe breeds! I don't have Arabians, so probably gonna just look at my Boerperd mares and see if I can find a stud that's a good match.

I do have a 5*!

Marshmallow on Ruler

She's on the higher side for size and not too bad for ponyness, but I suspect getting a good Arabian to go with her will be the hard part. Could take a few tries to get something close, but in the meantime, maybe I can try to make sure my Basothos are good for this too.

I do have this 5* but she's on the lower end for size

Chipotle Harp

Currently, she's the best that I have. Several of my others are way too low in size and 20%+ too horse, so I'll have to try to get the numbers into a better range.

I got this 4* Arabian x Boerperd colt who is only 2% too pony!

Shards Sweetheart

He's even nicely in the middle-upper part of the size range, which should make him a good match for Chipotle. I also bred another Basotho mare to him who is just a little bit too horse, so again, should be a good match

There we go

Moderate Score

Quest Complete 21 Jun 24!

Standardbred: (TB x Canadian Pacer) x (Morgan x Narraganasett Pacer)
Foals Bred: 1
So I do have two 5* Canadian Pacers

Bing Antelope

Adamant Aftermath

My TBs are all too thicc, but I should manage to find a stud since this isn't gonna need anything too thicc or ponylike. My best Morgan is this 4* stallion who is 1% too horse

Brave Drift

My Narraganasett Pacers are all too thicc and off in height as well. Some of them are also too horse. But I'm gonna just breed a bunch to Brave Drift and see what I get.

Got a 5* TB x Canadian Pacer

Limited Victory

And a 5* Morgan x Narragansett Pacer

Descending Reject

FIRST FOAL

Magical Frog

And of course, I have like 8 more mares to go lol but I could probably use more Standardbreds so it's cool

Quest Complete 21 Jun 24!

Fouta: Fleuva x M'Bayar
Foals Bred: 1
I have one M'Bayar who is 4*

Elusive Duchess

She's a little too thicc. But on the plus side I can go as light as possible for this breed, so I might make a half M'Bayar or two once I age her up. I bred my first Fouta a while ago and have been breeding them since so I'd have some for when I got here. My original is a 5* mare

Topaz Destiny

Here's some more 5*

Tropic Clover

Sparky Burn

Cursed Place

Downside is they're all mares, so hopefully I can get a half M'Bayar colt who is decent for this breed. Or maybe Duchess will come through for me. I do have a too tall and a too tall Fleuva, so they could work out.

And all that time breeding M'Bayars and I ended up not needing them cause Duchess only needed one try!

Missouri Fox Trotter, Russian Trotter, Tennessee Walking Horse

Post by Corvus »

Missouri Fox Trotter: (Spanish Barb x Morgan) x American Saddlebred
Foals Bred: 17
So my Morgans are all 0*. No one is even close. Too tall or too short, not thicc and too horse. And there is a very narrow range for height, so I think I'm going to make half Morgans that are hopefully closer because I think this is gonna be tricky. My Spanish Barbs are okay, at least. This is my best

Ancient From Dancer

She's too thicc, but that could work. I feel that with my taller Morgans, they're gonna be too light, but might as well try?

I have some American Saddlebreds that are good on height, but they're all too horse and not thicc. So I might need to make halves for those two and maybe try to lean more into the pony side because that's gonna be a tricky one with this breed.

Right as I started to get a batch of foals aged up, I got this from the ones I'd been working with

Thunder Chance

Quest Complete 29 Jun 24!

Russian Trotter: Standardbred x Orlov Trotter
Foals Bred: 12
My one Standardbred is 5* which is the good news. Bad news is he's a newborn

Magical Frog

Other good news is that I have a 5* Orlov Trotter mare

Gothic of Equation

I also have two more fillies that are 5*. I'll see if there's Standardbred studs available, but if not I can just age Magical Frog up.

Here he is!

Immortal Smuggler

Quest Complete 26 Jun 24!

Tennessee Walking Horse: (TB x Narragansett Pacer) x (American Saddlebred x Standardbred)
Foals Bred: 30
Overall my TBs are too thicc and too pony. But I think that might actually work out in my favor, especially on the pony side of things because none of the other breeds here are on the pony side of things. My Narragansetts are also too thicc and mostly too short but some are within range for horsiness or close. So I'm gonna breed a bunch and see what I get

I have a 4* American Saddlebred stallion who is 1% too horse. So I need to get a Standardbred mare. There are none available for sale but I'll try to breed some and they'll hopefully be decent.

I got this 4* American Saddlebred x Standardbred who is only about 1% too thicc!

Rustic Dancer

Also got a few 5* ones but now my TB x Narragansetts are lacking

Got one and didn't even have a chance to get the 5*s aged up!

American Walking Pony, Kushum, Racking Horse

Post by Corvus »

American Walking Pony: Welsh Pony x Tennessee Walking Horse
Foals Bred: 1
I have a filly and colt Tennessee Walking Horse that are both 4*. They're too tall

Brown Gust

Copper Ruffian

I may age one or both of them up depending on what I have going on with my Welsh Ponies. I have a few decent ones, and several that could work with my TWHs. I've got these mares that are too short and a little too pony

Chipped Cavern

Vanishing Tie

And this stallion is a little too thicc

Cursed Witch

He's pretty old, so I may not have him around for long, but hopefully I can make a few attempts with him.

GOT IT ON THE FIRST FOAL

Jade Chrome

Didn't even get my TWH filly aged up

Quest Complete 30 Jun 24!

Kushum: (Russian Don x Russian Trotter) x (Budyonny x Kazakh)
Foals Bred: 6
I think this is the last breed for all four of these breeds! Both of my Russian Trotters are 5* so gonna age them up. I have this 5* Russian Don mare

Booming No Cream

She's old, so probably won't get too many foals out of her. I also have a few 4* who are too thicc, but not by too much, so I do have some more to work with. Most of my Kazakhs are too short, but I do have one 5*

Holly Revenger

I only have one Budyonny and she's 2*

Elegant Jewels

She's what I have to work with so hopefully it works out. She's too pony, which is her furthest off trait, so hopefully the Russian Don and Trotter can even this out.

Another fast one!

Dark Awe

And I can get rid of all the parent breeds and this one! Exciting!
Quest Complete 1 Jul 24!
Racking Horse: (TB x American Saddlebred) x (Morgan x Standardbred)

Outspoken Lullaby

Jasmine Splinter

For the other half of this recipe, I have a 5* Morgan

Candlelight Drift

I have a few 4*s as well that are mostly too short, but not terribly so. I also have 5 Standardbreds and every single one of them is 5*

Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse: Quarter Horse x Missouri Fox Trotter
Foals Bred: 9
I have one Missouri Fox Trotter and he's 0*

Thunder Chance

Besides being way too pony, I don't think he's too terrible. I may need to make some half breeds though, especially if my Quarter Horses aren't very good. This mare is 4* and too tall

Star Veil

This one is 4* and about 3% too pony

Driving Symphony

I grabbed a few more Quarter Horse mares off the market as well. None are perfect, but hopefully they have a chance to make this breed.

Got this one done pretty quick!

Quest Complete 4 Jul 24!

Walkaloosa: Tennessee Walking Horse x Appaloosa
Foals Bred: 1
Both of my Tennessee Walking Horses are 5*. My mare is currently pregnant so gonna really look at my Appaloosa mares first, but hopefully I have a good stallion too in case I need to use my mare too.

I have a 5* Appaloosa mare!

Bold Aspiration

I've bred her and a 4* to my stallion. And I have some more 4* mares that I can use if the first two don't get it done

Foals Bred: 2
My Tennessee Walking Horses are terrible for this. My stallion especially is too pony, so I'll have to rely on my mare. And maybe her foal when its born. She's too tall and too horse.

Copper Ruffian

I do have some Standardbred x American Saddlebreds from making the Tennessee Walking Horses, but they're really not great for this. I have two mares who are okay, but obviously they won't work with Ruffian. So I gotta make some more.

I do have these 5* Standardbreds

Ribbon Crash

Sleek Delinquent

And a 5* American Saddlebred!
