Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

Re: ISO Breeding Partners for Steeple Shets
1. That would probably be fine! I'm also okay with you picking up second generation pure shets from sales as well (foals of AC stock). And thank you, it was a struggleSoleil wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:30 am How many Shets from the AC do you think would be ideal? Would 3 stallions, 10 mares work for now? And I was looking through your stock, they're really impressive considering Shets really have problems with speed lol.
Would you be willing to sell https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4176684, https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4174659, https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4171720, and https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4175848? Lmk what price you're looking for if you are.
Also, I was wondering what score in steeplechasing is considered good for an untrained Shet?
2. Those are all fine. Any of my age out mares are an automatic okay, if you'd like more of them. You can offer whatever you feel like.
3. Generally speaking, under 12:00 (ideally under 11:57) for the (very inbred) mares; under 11:53 for the (very inbred) studs is fine- worse scores are okay if the stats are good, but I consider sub 11:50 "training worthy" (those are the ones that hit under 10:20 trained).

Both studs are now up; I can't put the mares up on my side till that stud sells

Re: ISO Breeding Partners for Steeple Shets
Thanks for your response! I really admire your dedication tbh and I hope one day I'll be able to achieve something like this on my own lol. Btw I'll offer from my side account if that's okay.Cypress Creek Elites wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:37 am1. That would probably be fine! Older mare is up; once she's gone I'll throw up the younger mare.
