Tarpan Mares
Hi!
I'm looking into breeding Sorraias. I have been looking at the market for a couple of days now and all i see are Tarpan mixes and all of the 100% Tarpan mares are pushing 20 yrs old. Both have pretty low HGPs.
Does anyone know if there are breeders out there willing to sell Tarpan mares with +45,000 HGPs? Do Tarpans like that exist? Am i being too unreasonable??
Thanks for reading

Best bet is just what you've done. Except, I would suggest you change the ad subject to 'Looking For Tarpan Mares HGP 40 and up'
In this manner, those that have and cruise the market forums, will be able to see quickly that you're looking to purchase.
I don't know how high their tarpan breeding [HGP] numbers are at though.
Also, don't forget to look in the studding market. Those with breeds up for stud, will also have mares. Directly contacting these players to inquire about available sales can also lead you to what you need.
Good Luck!
Don't forget to check it out!

Thank you so much! I haven't had much luck finding any 40,000 plus HGP stallions for stud but i will definitely continue looking.

Re: Tarpan Mares
Hiya! I was actually working on breeding higher HGP Tarpans for a while before I moved onto other breeds. I do still have some stock left, though I don't believe I have any mares left that I'd be willing to sell. I might be able to breed one up for you with the stock that I'm keeping if you're in need of a mare, though!SilverCreekPastures wrote:Hi!

You can check here to see what's left of my sale stock; these are all Stallions ranging from 57k HGP to 60k HGP. I'm looking to sell them for at least 5k per, but if that's too expensive then we can certainly negotiate!

Thank you for responding! I'm sorry for the late reply, i haven't been on this account lately. I looked at your stallions and really like these twoEclipticEnd wrote:...

I don't currently have a mare so if you could breed me one that would be great. I'm perfectly fine with paying 5k for each.

Re: Tarpan Mares
No problem! You've linked the same horse twice, so I'll put that horse up and wait for a link to the other. I'll be giving them generic names that you're welcome to change if you keep the brands.SilverCreekPastures wrote:Thank you for responding! I'm taking a pause while I wait for some conformations to be done, but once I get them I'll be happy to breed a filly for you. : )

Re: Tarpan Mares
Got a filly first try! Her HGP ended up at 56,435. Hope that's alright; it can be bred back up higher without too much issue. She'll be up for offers.SilverCreekPastures wrote:Thank You!EclipticEnd wrote: No problem! He's up as well and I'll ping you when I have a filly.
