I've got this foal https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3747791
Both parents are pure black but the foal came out a chestnut colour [?] and I'm not too sure why
I wasn't sure where to post this and decided to post it here, apologies if I posted it in the wrong forum

Black can be E/E or it can be E/e
Both of your horses are E/e
So the foal came out e/e which equates to chestnut.
Is that enough information for you? Or are you going to need something more?

Also, it can be appropriate to post in the questions forum... but color questions usually get quicker responses in the color forum. You're good either way.
