It makes me kinda sad that horses die around 22 years old on this game...could you guys maybe bump it up 10 years to 32?

Actually, you're a little skewed on your understanding.

Horses on HWO earn the ability to pass on when they reach 17 years. With each turn thereafter, they gain a tiny percentage. I'm not sure what it starts at, but I suspect it starts at 1% chance and climbs upward in tenths increments (or some sort) thereafter.

Most of our horses go between 22 and 24 years, but it's entirely possible for a horse to live, quite naturally, into their 30's. On HWO, a horse will never reach 100% chance of passing on. So if you're really lucky, you could, theoretically, have a horse live well into their 40's or even later.

I think, though I may be wrong on this, that the oldest stallion to live, reached 32 years. As for the broods, they won't pass on while they're pregnant, so you only roll the die on the day they give birth. By using this tactic, you can force a mare to survive to 28 years really easily. And those that use this tactic will have their broods survive quite regularly well into their 30's. Usually, at about 35 years, you're dealing with much higher percentages to pass onward and a mare is much more likely to leave on the day they drop their foal. How much higher? I don't know. We don't actually know the percentage chances of a horse surviving turn usage. I suspect it's likely in the 50/50 area or slightly greater at that point (in the area of 30 years and up). But that's only my opinion, not a fact and only loosely based on my experiences.

Huh, that's interesting! I did that with one of my broodmares and after she had her last foal around 38 years (I think?) she lived for around another year or so so I was wondering why she hadn't passed on yet XD Thanks!

One of the only games out there that doesn't have an exact age that every horse must be gone by. There's a lot of interesting little easter eggs like that around here.
