Grinder question
I've been playing awhile and am now doing a ton with a few of my grinders... Or so I thought. My one grinder
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3638268
Was earning a ton of PT and turns in racing events... But then he just kinda stopped
I've kept him at high strung and at mod thin to mod the whole time. And now added horses to his pasture not knowing if the game has some secret thing that a horse can get lonely and start losing. He has the confo and pedigree to at least be a grinder if not possibly something more, but I'm losing my mind with him! Can someone tell me why he just kinda stopped?! Do I need to find a new grinder? Will he ever pick up again?

Re: Grinder question
Dunno if this is the right answer... But here goes \_0_/ edit: There is also a ton of helpful information on hereFantasyRanch3 wrote:I've been playing awhile and am now doing a ton with a few of my grinders... Or so I thought. My one grinder

That's what I like to call "Grinder Personality". It happens to the best of us. One minute, my grinder is perfect, and I'm at 925 PT, the goal 1k. Then he just stops. Turns and PT together.
Sometimes age impacts it, so that explains my 33-year-old grinder doing absolutely horrible. I'm struggling to train for people, so it does get annoying, let me tell you xD
He'll probably pick up again, as all of my weird dudes did, so don't give up

I feel that!
An account can enter a 'dry spell' where it's like ANY horse at all, just doesn't drop anything. I went through a long dry spell last year where I had two? or maybe three? grinders that just seemed to give me nil. The link that Gabby_Woodlark offered has more details on it (including that story). Anyway, hopefully the dry spell doesn't last for too long.
If you think about it mathematically, however, it may make more sense.
You flip a coin 100 times.
What's the likelihood of having 99 heads OR 99 tails?
Both instances are equally likely, because each and every flip of the coin is 50/50.
^This is what we are faced with, with the grinders. Admin says that it's random, so it actually IS possible to have a horse simply never give us a single PT or day drop in it's entire career.

And that's just as likely as the horse to give us a PT and a day drop with every click of that local show button.
^And this scenario? Seriously exciting!
