Leopard Pattern Question

Post by Shadow Scar »

I've been keeping a nice bloodline of horses that only carry the varnish roan leopard pattern, however I've recently had a colt pop up that quite clearly has a blanket. Is it possible that his dam carries a hidden pattern gene? If so what could cause it to not be expressed on her coat as well?

Dam: Mustang 50%

Sire: BH 50%

Colt: Temp Colt
