Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Campolina
The Campolina is a gaited breed from Brazil. It was developed in 1870 with the birth the silver grey foundation stallion, "Monarca", a cross between a barb blooded mare and an Andalusian stallion.
The breeding concentrated on movement and smoothness of gait, and crossed blood from several other breeds including Anglo-Normans and Manglarga-Machadors, until the studbook was closed to outside breeds in 1934.
The Campolina is notably a gaited horse (largest of the three Brazilian gaited), with a four-speed gait known as true marcha (marcha verdadeira)
It has a distinctive trapezoidal head, with a sloping roman nose. Importantly, they possess a prominently curved profile, with a long arched neck and deep chest.
Common competitive uses for the Campolina are Dressage and Driving. It is also used for pleasure riding.
Registry Accepted Colors
Favorites are:
-Silver Grey
-Dun/Buckskin
-Pinto, known as "pampa" (not yet in HWO)
But, all colors accepted
