This foals color is confusing me bc its essentially a chestnut with a flaxen mane(sorrel) but its really light for a chestnut.

Silver bay (with tiger eye). Your horse has inherited the silver gene. The bay coat color is sometimes referred to as a blood bay, essentially very chestnut-like, but with bay points.
