I chose him because I think he is uniquely coloured, but I don't have a clue what his colour actually is.

It's not that easy to say exactly because we don't have ancestors, foal pictures or progeny (adoption center horse).
I am rather sure that he is a Mealy Buckskin with Snowflakes. I think he also has Dun. I think he doesn't have silver although he looks like it, I think the varnish made the mane so light, I could be wrong though on that.

I'm thinking a "Silver Cream Buckskin with Snowflakes"
I have some with the Silver gene and the mane/tail and lower legs look similar. The silver gene fades the black in the mane,tail and legs. His coat is also so light, possibly a cream gene? Double Silver may fade black even more?
I don't know enough about the varnish gene, I have no idea on that.
