Feeding Issue

Hey guys, I have a question on how to get my horses to gain weight when they are in a barn. Even if I have all of their feed up to 100%, I always get the notification that they aren't eating enough feed for energy. I know that it might be because they aren't grazing as they would in a pasture, but I don't know how to fix it nonetheless.
Does anyone know why, and how to fix it? If not, I'm just going to replace my barns for pastures so that won't happen.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
