Re: Getting to Know You
Im currently a server in Northern CA, from Midwestern IL. Ive had horses since I was little, ponies as a 'baby', my first horse at 13. I have been horseless for the last 3 years and its about enough to drive me mad. My parents keep my horses for me in IL right now, since I first got sick with Lyme Disease 3 years ago.
So games fall in place. I started with HorseLand when I was too little for a horse, traded up to A Virtual Horse, then onto Equination and Hajinc. Around 8-9 years ago I found HWO (back when there were almost no images and we had bags of feed in the store with their cutesey little graphic) and have been following its progress ever since. Im truly excited to see how this game turns out, it has so many possibilities and features that no other game has.
Im hoping to finish college in the next few years for my Nutrition degree and am also debating finishing an Animal Health Technology degree. In the mean time, Im a sucker for an abandoned animal and there are no shortage of those in my area of California. I also have a bit of an art streak, I jump from sketching to sculpting and have been on a polymer clay kick this year. A few of my projects can be found here http://equestrianohsix.deviantart.com
So I stay busy

Re: Getting to Know You
My turn!
I'm a woman that turned 25 this year, and have been playing two versions of HWO before this one, meaning that I have been following Larissas work for like 6-7 years by now. It have been a fun ride, and I'm really excited to be able to help out with this game that I have been following for so long. I have given myself the mission to find the perfect horse game that exist out there, so it feels like I have tried them all, and still, HWO is the game that given me the most pleasure and the one that I find myself coming back to.
Currently I live and work in Sweden, born and raised here as well, and I have studied environmental science at uni the last years. I have always loved horses, attended to riding school for most part of my life, but now I mostly visit my friends horse and help her out from time to time when I have that sudden need of patting a horse. Or I simply play some horse games.
Otherwise my biggest hobbies today are probably Forum RPG (I'm Admin for a big Swedish site that's been going on since 2005), Tv-series & Movies and I do quite a lot of art and write on my free time. You can check out my deviant if you are curious, even though it's been a while since I uploaded something, I have to blame my computer for that (are getting a new one in a couple of weeks): http://rockylin.deviantart.com/
Otherwise my usual internet name are Rockylin, and you may have seen me in places like Chickensmoothie, Wajas, Lioden or other similar sites. On HWO I have called myself Macabo since it's the farm name that I've used as my prefix.
I also spend way too much time on tumblr, http://rockylin.tumblr.com/ <--- and this is my main blog. Would love to follow a fellow HWO-ian on tumblr!

Re: Getting to Know You
I'm 24 this year. I live in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. I have many hobbies, including knitting and thinking about gardening. I've been with HWO for a big long time. At least 7 years this December, probably more like 8-8.5 years. My first project was Haflingers, and now I've chosen some breeds based purely on build and type with some cuts to happen when I learn what heights maximize, or at least don't limit, potential with the disciplines that seem interesting. I work, but I don't talk about work on a static forum, only in chat. I have a horse down in California still pending my getting a real job.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!

Re: Getting to Know You
This is a good idea. I like this idea.
I am 26 years old, currently attending Veterinary Technician school in Colorado. I am so so sooo close to starting my internship at an Equine Facility and the work is really starting to pile up. Only 3 months to go with numerous interviews waiting for me!
Growing up, I used to play online horse games all the time but by the time I turned 16 I was more interested in my REAL horses than anything. I grew up constantly surrounded by horses of all types, and started training my own when I turned 17. Currently though, I'm stuck in an apartment on the third floor with no horses.... you can imagine my suffering....
My two crazy cats keep me company on those few times I'm not stuck studying.
I'm not one for being social on games, but since this is Beta, I'll actually make an attempt. I'm a bit excited to see how well this test goes!

Hey I'm Silly!
My name is Lindsay, I'm a 20 year old Junior at a University in Texas. I'm currently working towards my Accounting degree and have always had a love for horses. I own a 27 year old Quarter Horse named Jessie who is worth his weight in gold, and I am currently looking into buying his half brother who is 8 and still has some.. er *, and his name is very fittingly Tuffy. I've never really shown horses, though i competed last year with my school's Equestrian Team in IHSA shows. I mainly am fascinated by genetics and the idea of being able to create a horse breed is amazing to me!
I'm very excited to be getting to know you guys over testing and once the game goes live!

Hey everyone, I'm Valkyriea
Currently 20 years old, and just graduate from my Veterinary Assisstant course 2 weeks ago! I'm from Canada and have 2 appaloosa mare's in the past but had to sadly give them up for University.
Currently in my free time, I research horse genetics on my own

Re: Getting to Know You
Hello everyone! I am 21 (22 on Saturday, yay!) and my current occupation is "stay at home mother to be" due to some minor complications in my pregnancy. My husband and I are expecting our first child at the end of January and until then it's bed rest, bed rest and more bed rest.
I am a fifth generation (on both sides) Iowan born and raised but three years ago I moved to the beautiful New Zealand after marrying a Kiwi. I have never shown but have owned horses all my life. I was taught to ride "western" by my mother who barrel raced as a youngster and then when I moved to NZ I bought an ex eventing OTTB and picked up dressage. Absolutely gorgeous gelding that I miss every day but unfortunately had to rehome. I still get regular updates on him and can visit whenever I like.
My real passion is genetics, one day I would ideally have a degree in genetics and work with dairy or beef cattle. If anybody is interested in genetics and likes to do a bit of light reading I would recommend "Equine Genomics" by Bhanu P. Chowdhary. It was published April 2013 so is fairly recent.
Very happy for the opportunity to be here and hope to get to know everyone better!

Hey guys! I'm Corvus. I'm 27 (I think) and am from Colorado. I'm currently unemployed because I got fed up with retail. I have a degree in biology and am now volunteering so I'll have experience and hopefully, I can get a job. But it'll probably be next August before I'll have a chance at getting a job. I live at my parents place with my Birman mix and Shiba Inu because I'm poor and spend all my money on going to metal shows.

Hello!
I'm SweetClover! I'm a 19-year-old English major at a North Carolina college. I've loved horses all my life and have always ridden as often as I could, which got a lot more often when I finally got my horse a few years ago.
He's a 18ish year-old sorrel Tennessee Walker named Stick. (...you know, walking stick?) As for other pets, I have a chihuahua named Brownie, and some fish in a pond.
Can't wait to get to know you all!
