Donkey Genetics?

Okay, so I realize by now people have probably suggested donkeys and gotten struck down (didn't see on major page, but this is Horse World Online not Equine World Online). As is, ever since Indomita got shut down, I haven't had my donkey fix. Only place I can find them is on Howrse and eeeh nope, unrealistic. My question here is then somewhat twofold:
A. Does anyone know a lot about donkey and mule genetics? Because I don't know about that and I'd love to learn. Insofar I've only found articles talking about the different colors donkeys come in, but not how they inherit them, nor the traits like mammoth or mini or long hair, and not how mule's genetics work whatsoever. I could look through the reference sections at the county libraries but that's sort of a niche interest...
B. Do you think it's possible to create a horse that looks somewhat like a mule on here?

I personally don't know naything about donkey/mule genetics, but for your second question, I'd say yes, you could.

I think it's possible. You can breed for long ears. I think horses from certain lines will help you with that.

Thanks for your input, guys. :3 As of right now, I'm doing four main horse projects which is enough for now, but I'm getting closer and closer to being "done" with all four (that is, meeting all current goals). I'm also interested in breeding in-hand jumping minis or ponies and creating one of the Spanish Barb progeny breeds, but a mule-looking breed and my idea of an American Sport Horse sound like such fun projects (and ones that only work on HWO! this game is *amazing*).
