Is it worth it to enter competitions that have already past their date? and why haven't they run yet? Thanks :D

To answer your questions directly.
Yes, it can be worth it. If you see the horses already entered may be not as strong as your horse, you can size-up the competition beforehand. This is handy at gauging what placement your horse is more likely to take. Large-pot competitions are risky. By seeing the competition, you can surmise better if the risk is worth it or not.
4 entry shows, once filled that last competitor will run 'immediately' with the next showing batch. So it'll run either immediately or within 20 minutes. Batches appear to run every 5 minutes or so.

Absolutely worth it to enter those shows. They’re not different than shows that haven’t reached their date yet they simply don’t have enough entries to run on time. Be sure to always factor in entry fee and payout though, occasionally those shows do not have enough entries because the entry fee is absurdly high. However most shows that have not run on time are simply just not popular enough to have 5 entries.
