If the off-topic posts bother you, you can have admin clean it up. But keep in mind, they are a bit busy. :D The more we request them to handle, the less time they have to contributing to the actual game.
Just report any of the replies you want cleaned up, mark it as the 'isn't otherwise specified' option and make a note in the box that it's a topic cleanup.
Eventually, when they have some extra time, they'll cruise through and delete the posts.

Just an FYI for you.
It doesn't bother me enough to tell admins to clean it up, i just ask them and if they keep replying, i just ignore. but it bothers me when another player is cussing and harassing me, thats why i let admins know so they can delete the inappropriate language posts.

I was a little late to the party, but I did take notice of those things.
You did well for reporting. We do have younger kids on here and such things are inappropriate. And somewhere around here, there is the rules about that too!

It is one of the times that the community does want at least a moderator to help cover the times when admin isn't online. -_- But such a thing is unlikely to happen. If memory serves, in their original game, they never had moderators either. They ran and policed the entire game all on their lonesome. But that is not personal experience. I was not lucky enough to've found their original site those years ago. Just this one.

Agreed- they should have a moderator when admin isnt online- because then it just sits there for younger kids to see. whats funny is, the player who posted the "inappropriate language" got suspended from posting, then the same player made a new account, asking to get a free horse and a free training because they are "new" but they've been playing since oct 2020. In which tom said "Really? You didn't think anyone would notice you making a new account right after you lose posting privileges on your other account?" the player who said the inapropriate language, claimed they were not trying to be mean.. quite funny..

I did also find the exchange funny. In fact, I burst out laughing. However, that isn't to say that such a player can't become a good part of our community. It is only to say the interactions and replies were funny. Especially sometimes when Tom replies, he really gets me laughing. larissar... I'd like to see her reply more often in the forums (I think many of us would), but I assume her work for the game takes her away from responding and overseeing the community like what Tom does for us.

It would be nice if at least in certain topics we author, that we are given the ability to alter certain posts as needed, in the same way we report the topics. Alter another person's reply to censor needed words, and then have that reply automatically reported as...
Well... actually, that would probably put Way Too Much additional work onto our admins.
As a community, we are doing alright. It's just in certain, rare instances, the want and need of an admin online when they're not. -_-
Well. Something will change if we desperately need it, I'm sure! Until then, we must do what we have been. 8-)

Just wanting to put in my two cents, as I have been inactive as of late and only check in on occasion. My goodness, I just have to give you credit RacingTB1974. You handled the situation politely and quite maturely. I... I am not so sure I would have been able to do as well, from what I have been skimming of the situation. I try, but everyone has their weaknesses. Cussing and lying, among other things I have read, would very easily get under my skin and cloud my judgement. So, again, I thank you for your quick actions to defuse the situation.

If I may say, and I hope I don't ruffle any feathers, I was worried after our altercation that you would stir the pot.. and I am happily wronged by this, and wish to apologize profusely for thinking such thoughts. Know that you are a valued member of the community, and please forgive me for our past disagreements/drama.

I seem to have hit a bump with my breeding project. Now that I'm relying more on Shetlands, instead of breeding NABs to Turkmenes, I'm producing foals with less socks. Go figure! Gotta love the curveballs thrown at random. Hopefully breeding my NAB/Turk cross to a few shetland mares will give me something, otherwise I may start from scratch again. Which isn't too terribly horrible, as I'm only maybe.. 3 generations in?

It may or may not be a mistake, but adding some caspian in there might fix that issue. At the very least, caspian does have fetlock style To markings. Like tarpans do.

But breeding back to your current crosses should also give you good boosts. Inbreeding, in this case, will help to set and spread out that To pattern on the legs. I think... perhaps... the best way to set that, is to choose the best stocking cross you have, then choose a single bloodline of shetlands that you like the best. Every other generation, breed back to the stocking cross. That should help set those genes.

Or... just start from scratch! Dumping stock isn't a new thing and sometimes what we have to begin with, just don't offer the genetics we think they carry.
Three generations in... that's just the start of it. Only just revealing the hard culls you did in the first two generations and the favored breeders you decided to keep.

If you start again, I might suggest starting with caspian and shetland to favor some color genes and to cull out the unfavorable... then maybe breed in the other genes?
There's more than a couple ways to tackle the project. I'm sure I've offered at least three different versions so far at least.
