Very Fat Pony

Post by Bubblepony »

I'm new and my two horses are labeled as "Very Fat". What should I do about this?

You don't NEED to do anything about it. Your horses won't die from being too fat or too thin (only from old age, starting at 17 years and increasing a bit each turn, most go between 22 and 23 years).

The only thing this affects right now is competition horses. So if your horse is a competition horse, you'll want to try to keep it in a barn to maintain an appropriate weight and temperament.

However, since you just started, competing them heavily is probably not yet planned.
If you WANT to try adjusting their weight, put them in a barn and first, don't feed them anything until they're down to moderate, it'll probably take you about 4 turns at least. Then feed them weight gain at 100% to maintain their weight.

There is a chance their height isn't tall enough to allow them to eat appropriately in a barn. If this is the case, then a pasture is the only place they can live. Keep it mowed. When you see them getting too heavy, mow it and they should start loosing weight. It'll be a delicate balance.

Anything else?
