Minimum training age?
I'm pretty new to this game so this might be a dumb question but is there a minimum age that is recommended for you to start training a horse? Should I just start training right away (like, with a newborn) or should I wait? Are there any advantages to doing it either way?

You'll wan to start training as soon as possible. This is so, because you don't want your horse to age out all the way before you finish training. If you wait till' your horse is say, 8, your horse will lose selling and competition value because of their age.ScaredAlexNoises wrote:I'm pretty new to this game so this might be a dumb question but is there a minimum age that is recommended for you to start training a horse? Starting at newborn is fine, and is what I do in my own program. There is no drawback to starting early - you won't hurt your horse by training it from the moment it hits the ground.ScaredAlexNoises wrote:

And as Kingston said, if your goal is to train your horses for sale they will be more valuable if their training is finished at a younger age. But it's not as big of a deal if you're training them for yourself. They'll be more useful if they're finished younger and you have more time with them before they're aged out but finishing later won't affect their show scores or anything like that.

Alright! I just wanted to check and make sure, since whenever I would read posts about people training horses, they never talked about starting age, just finishing age. Thanks for the help!
