How do I earn tokens quickly? I've been grinding for them for days but have only gotten three. I just found a horse on the adoption page and I really want them!!

Though these are specifically about money, they also cover PT. Although that last one may not be as helpful as the other two for PT information.

Then there is the community reminder from november 2020, that actually has the definition for it, so you can understand what to look for.
However, to sum it all up:
Any horse can be a grinder. Increase the grinder's chances by training and using the highest first place earning spots it can achieve in locals. If you're able to empty your account to just do the grinder in locals, it will make your time go quicker, but a poor day-drop-earner will also slow your PT earnings by running you out of days.
PT can also be earned by leveling up and completing quests.
