Help!!
So i have a mare that i bred to another one of my horses on a different account and both the stallion and mare are heavily dappled grey and the filly they had is chestnut/ sorrel and i was wondering if as she ages she will become grey dapple as well?

Nope. Her parents both carry at least one copy of the silver gene over a black base, which is what gives them their dappled appearance. Since they each also have chestnut in their recent ancestors, they only have one copy of the black gene as well, and so can throw chestnut foals. Silver doesn't show on chestnut horses, and so since the filly is chestnut she will not grow up to look like her parents.Cimmeron Stables wrote:...
