This is only partly true.Ponce wrote:Oh. Dang it.Greenlands wrote: You have to upgrade to premium.
If you post for immediate purchase prices without OBO, you may list as many horses as you want. List all your immediate purchase horses first, then post your two that you're allowed as OBO or private sale. Both OBO and private sale are counted toward the 'two at private sale' limit for basic accounts.
So, when posting immediate purchase prices for horses, for those that you want to move but don't want to undercut yourself, use the following technique:
Consider the lowest price you'd be willing to accept for any particular horse.
Then do some math.
Apply between 10% and 20% on top of that minimum price.
Then use that as your immediate purchase price.
So, for instance, a horse that you'd accept minimally 1000 for, would have (20%) 200 additionally, so post for 1200.
Or, one that you'd take 100,000, would have (15%) 15,000 additionally, so post for 115,000.
This will ensure you'll get your minimum (at least), but you won't undercut yourself. It's a compromise for those horses that you're selling, but can't use (or don't want to use) OBO or private. Of course, selling horses is sometimes a difficult path. A horse that might sell for one day for millions, may sell for the very next for $1. It helps to understand the market a little, but mostly it helps best to establish a workable bloodline that shows it's usefulness.
Sale ads describing the horse and its attributes, pros and even suspected or known cons can really make a difference between a quick sale or a horse that is simply overlooked.
