Re: What colour is my colt?
I believe this is a dunskin. I’m not the best with colours but I’m 85% sure he’s dunskin. Hope you’re doing wellPaliThePancake wrote:Any idea what colour he is?

Re: What colour is my colt?
Amber Cream. One Champagne and One Cream on Bay base. I don't see any indication of dun, but his sire has it, so it's entirely possible he has a gentle expression of it, however, at this moment in time, I'm saying 'no dun'.PaliThePancake wrote:Any idea what colour he is?

Re: What colour is my colt?
could be like a buckskin/dun color

Re: What colour is my colt?
He has champagne genes as well as a cream gene due to the diluted speckles and dark eyes. Do you think he's an amber cream with a rather dark mane? Or if there's dun in him, would that mean an amber cream dun?
I'm not really certain as to how to tell if there's dun involved without the tell-tale striping. I've heard that the body becomes lighter? And the body looks about the same shade as the face so correct me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming there's no dun involved.
I know that 2x cream genes or 1x cream 1x pearl make light eyes, and the mother has cream genes so I'm assuming there's 1x cream in the foal. I'm also assuming a bay base due to the dark legs and I believe the ear tips are dark as well. I'm not sure if that could be a dun thing, though. And of course, champagne's visibly there. Amber cream's my best guess with a dark mane.
