Horses Overview

Post by Ritazuki »

I looked around and though I found some intersting ideas on horse oraginzation, I'd like o suggest another one that I don't remember seeing and would make it much easier for players with lots of horses. Basically, under the player menu (or maybe on the "My Farm" page), there could be a link for the Horses Overview. It would basically show you a few statistics of the horses in your farm (such as "this farm has A mares, B stallions, C fillies and D colts", or "X of this farm's horses are Y breed, N are M breed, [...]", etc), could show how many pregnant mares there are, and the same with stallions at stud and horses for sale. Each criteria could have a clickable link or a dropdown list with the names and links to the horses that fit the desired criteria (like a list of pregnant mares, a list of the horses currently for sale, etc). It could also count other things like how many competitive horses the farm has, how many horses that player has bred, etc. Basically statistics, categorization and information about what is being produced on the farm, everything in just one place.

Those things would improve a lot the management of the breeding programs (specially if you have more than one breeding program), because you'd be able to see the most of the important info without needing to search through a lot of pastures, barns and innumerable horses. For example, if there is a new stallion you want to put up for stud, but you already reached the stud limit. Now you have to remember which horses you put up for stud, find them, and choose one to take out of the market. It would be a lot easier and faster to do this if your farm's studs could be found in just one place, despite being on different pastures/barns. Not to mention that it would be great to visualize exactly what you are doing and what you currently have and plan your next moves with more precision according to that.

Lastly, I don't know if this would be possible, but on this same overview page there could be like a link or a list (such as a horse's offspring tab or the market list) that shows all the horses bred by that player (then you could filter like the market, like by breed, age, gender, etc, and set a time frame such as "in the last month", "in the last week" or "always"). I love to keep track of the horses I bred after I sell them, but sometimes this can be a bit difficult to do if you don't keep their pages open or something.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS! I lost a mare on my other account so I had to find her by going to upcoming events->select a horse->
enter whatever the horse was-> go to entered horses-> click on her link.
VERSUS what it could be with this
Player->horse overview-> mares-> click on her link

I also agree. Something like this would make overview and management so much more simple and easier, especially when a horse gets misplaced.

YESSS!! i was thinking about that 2 days ago when i started calculating how many horses i have in my account, it would be better if they show the total of horses you have in your farm too, it does show the capacity but not how much capacity is left which makes it difficult to know (i have 15 barns and i had to go and count them horse by horse or mathematically calculate the % in each barn) these little details will help us a lot! thank you for posting it :D

I agree! As a medium (in my opinion lol) breeder, it gets hard to keep track of your horses, and it would be amazing to see how many I've bred!! somewhere around the 1000-1500 mark, I reckon :lol:

I support this idea. Would definitely make management a whole lot easier.
