What Color is this Mare
I just adopted this mare to add ponies to my blood line and I cannot figure out her color.
Malibu

I know that she has a blanket and some snowflakes. Also I can she the roaning on her but I do not know what the color is.

This is a signature... and it's a really good one too.

Re: What Color is this Mare
My best guess combines your knowledge with the colors of the mare shown below, also an Adoption Center Shetland. Note that they both have white forelocks, manes, and tails -- the Silver Dapple pattern showing up on a non-chestnut base. There are warm brown tones on the faces and barrels, shading to black on the lower legs -- bay base with roan. The full name for Malibu's color pattern could be something like: Silver Snowflake Bay Blanket Roan.
Silver Seal, a Silver Bay Roan without Leopard Complex (Appy)

Wow what an interesting color. Thanks for the help.

Re: What Color is this Mare
I think it's even bit more complicated
It's not bay but smoky brown (brown with cream) in both cases.
The snowflake-pattern by the way shows a snowcap, which is an indicator for double LP, so homozygous for Leopard. This means every foal of the mare will inherit one leopard gene (which can cause snowflakes, blankets and varnish) no matter the stud.
I would call her colour: Silver smoky brown roan snowcap. Yes shetlands can come with very long colour names
