A few sugestions

Post by Ivy Stables »

1. auto turn taking
I think it would be useful to be able to set your turns so that for example, you could say 'take a turns automaticly for 1 year' so that you could go to bed, and when you woke up, you hadn't wasted all that time you could have been colecting turns

2. Evolving
So, this kind of already exists, but it would be cool if horses could evolve without extensive breeding progrmas. For example, if you never fed your horses, they would evolve to be smaller, lighter, and be able to survive on what you give them, just like real horses.

3. Weather
In real life, you need to worry about the weather, so why not in the game? This relates 2, 4, and 5 (Evolving, caring for your horses, and sickness) In the winter it could snow, so that your horses could get colds from being outside, or need their water broken (Breaking up, and melting ice in a trough) The grass could also become sparser in the fields and other things like that. Horses outside would need blankets and such. Same with spring being wet, and summer hot.

4. Caring for your horses
I think that you should be able to groom and care for your horses. Horses in a barn would need less grooming, since they won't roll, but their stalls would need mucking out. Horses with flysheets wouldn't need fly spray, and all horses would need their hoofs picked. To prevent it from being a hassle, your horse's condition should go down very slowly, and caring shouldn't be required, only helpful to improve training conditions, and competion conditions. During certain weather, certain parts of your horse's condiotion should go down, and horses in freezing wouldn't need any care at all.

5. Sickness
Horses should get sick. Horses that are in feilds for too long, without getting hoof-picked will become lame and not able to do anything in real life, the same should go for the game. Horses over trained too often should break legs and need to go to the vet. I won't explain this much, since tis is a very big thing, and you can find loads on it.

6. Locatoin
You should be able to choose where your farm is located. Will it be hot or colt? snowy or rainy? Cloudy or sunny? Hills, mountains, plains, there's so much possiblity for creativity here. Breeding, feeding, and training could all be influenced by where you put your farm. If it was in the mountains, grass wouldn't grow as much, but if you were somewere hot, horses would tire faster in training

7.Confo and BR factor into training
I think it's odd that horses with say 50 stamina use as much energy in training as horses with 20 stamina. Horses with higher stamina confos should use less energy then horses with low stamina confos. It just makes sense

8. COI
I think that horses with higher than maybe like 150-200 COI should be stillborn, or have a genetic mutation and come out with all sorts of random genes, stats, and maybe even be a new breed.

9. Gene testing
I think we should be able to pay like a $200-500 to see what genes our horses have, and how strong they are. This would be really helpful for things like heart gene, sooty, creme, and other genes

10. Breed creation (My best idea yet)
This is just a random, new, out-of-the-blue idea that I had. What if we could create and breed our own new breeds. Each player would get 1 breed to create. They could give it a name, recipe, and eval. Anyways, please give me feedback oon this idea and tell me if it possible, thanks!

That's all I have for now, but more will be added
Thanks for reading this,

But then you could miss mares giving birth and horses that are being underfed

As you said, being able to breed your horses to have certain characteristics is already a thing on this game. I don't think that is necessarily how horses become smaller and lighter, to fed them less. Both in the game and in real life, the smaller and lighter horses that breed together can give birth to foals that could even be smaller and lighter.

I think the grass already becomes sparser when in the fall and winter. I don't necessarily see how having weather has that much of an impact on the actual game play. Because you're not actually giving the horses water, there's no control to that but I imagine the horses do get water.

I agree with the grooming part, it would be cool to groom our horses. Though this would be difficult for the admins to add this all to the game.

I believe that this is something that will eventually be added to the game, I have not heard when it will be though.

I also like the idea of this, being able to chose a location.

I do agree with this partly. It would be more realistic but it would make it a bit harder to train those horses with lower confos and breeders report comments.

I also do agree with making high COI have some negative consequences like in real life.

Yes, having a way to test the color and pattern genes definitely would be very helpful.

I definitely think this would be cool but this would be difficult as it would involve the admins having to add a ton of new breeds, recipes, and evaluations to what there is already.
