Sudden Mohawk Mane

Not at all sure where her mane has come from she has no other ancestors that show the same mane type. Anyone have any idea what genetics caused this?

study2

I looked at her progeny and I found that https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2511686 had a mane like that

several of her ancestors that dated back seem to have the same mane type. The gene may have gotten overlooked but it definitely shows now!

Whoops I completely overlooked Lola. I'm assuming it's a recessive gene?
