Farm Building

Post by larissar »

Okay we are well on our way to having the farm building set. As of right now you can move the default pasture around your farm and it will save it's changes. You can see a couple items in the market place and buy them. They will be added to your inventory, although the inventory page isn't ready yet so you can't see them yet. But that's fine because it's not necessary for getting them into your farm. Next step is for me to build the bits that allow you to take an item from your inventory and put it on your farm. My goal is to have that ready tonight so hopefully by tomorrow you can be building your farms.

Farm building is functional now, with one exception: you can't put horses into pastures or barns yet.

I'm working on that bit next, as well as flipping images (horizontally) and removing items.

I am conflicted on whether to buy a pasture or a barn. How many horses will a barn hold, and will their inevitable skinniness since I can't feed them affect their showing ability at this time?

Doesn't matter right now which you buy because I'm going to have to reset them all tonight anyway.

No starter pasture was created when I opened my second account.

I've updated the script so now when you place an barn or pasture in your farm it will create a new area. When adopting new foals they should automatically be added to whichever pasture has the most room available but newborn foals from your mares will always be placed in the same area as the mare.

Next up I'll make it so you can switch horses between pastures, and also make limits on how many items can be added to farms. Expanding farms will give you more building space.

Argent: Thanks for the heads up, I'll fix the script but in the meantime you can buy a new pasture from the market and add it to your farm.

If anyone is low on money or tokens let me know. I just bumped a bunch of us up over 10,000.

Reset them? Are our horses going away with this reset or is it not going to be like that?

No no, I mean only the farm decorations will be reset.

But don't get too attached to your horses, because I anticipate an 'whole game' reset something within the new few weeks.... There is a slight chance it could even be before the beta testers are allowed in. I haven't decided yet but it is necessary.

Oh yes I know. Just wondering if there's much of a point to trying to increase my showing stock with more horses or not before a reset.
