Newborn Colt Color?

Post by Silver Dapple Keen »

I decided to try to create an Arabian that is simply too large to be a Baladi.

So I chose this Stallion for my tiny mare:
Tobias

The foal was just born, and as I hoped, he got some of his Sire's coloring.

So what color are father and son? I know the colt is not the same color as the stallion, but I would like to know both.

I believe they are the same colour - both palominos with rather extensive spotted blankets. The sire has changed colour due to varnishing, but look at his gallery - just like the son.

I'd call it "palomino spotted blanket", but English is not my first language, so don't count on me to get that right :) Learned horse colour names mostly from another horse sim game I've played for over 10 years :D

and I would just go with Palomino Blanket and then add Varnish Roan once he starts to colour out
