As the sire is only has one copy of the leopard gene, he is not guaranteed to pass the leopard on to his foals. He does have tobiano from his dam, but it only manifests itself in his front socks.

That would be a sorrowful no.
Leopard print will be expressed on the newborn if they have it, or not at all, if they don't... with ONE exception.

There is a chance that the switch was passed on, but no patterning genes, or just snowflake genes. Considering the vast coverage of the Lp parent, this is... likely NOT what happened.
However, if it did, your foal will show snowflakes somewhere between 6 months and 2 years somewhere on it's body and also begin to show Lp varnish.

All of that said, your foal may not have received the Lp, but that doesn't mean the foal doesn't carry those patterning genes of Lp. If crossed with the right horse, it could pass on the sire's pattern, but that is no guarantee.
