Arabians - color help!

Post by Eia01 »

Can anyone help me with my horse's colors?

My little colt ♔ Amongst Flames. Seems to take after his mother "Ch. ♕ Raindance". Although he has more spots of white and some red stripes on his legs. Although he's still quite young and I don't know if those stripes will last or if they will fade away as he ages. His mother did not have those stripes when she was his age. Neither did his father.

My colt ♔ Through Rain. I've already made a topic about his color before so some of you might recognize him. Although he has aged a bit now and his true color is starting to show.

My filly (soon mare) ♕ Winds of change. I didn't notice it before but recently did - that she has a few white just behind her shoulder/elbow on her stomach. What color is she?

Really thankful if anyone can let me know what colors these beauty's are! :D

Amongst Flames is a graying red dun blanket (lp). Those stripes are a dead giveaway for the dun gene. :) The dun could've come from the sire, he's a bay dun banket, or the dame, she's a graying red dun blanket.

Through Rain is a perlino dun. In this case, those fetlocks (ankles) give the dun away. That color shift is from the dun gene. Two creams on a bay.

Winds of change is a graying buckskin dun... some people call it 'dunskin'.
