Energy

Post by Bold Spirit »

Ok, so, as a breeder, I constantly have to be looking at my horses energy. This is especially annoying when I need a stud of a specific rare breed. There might be 10 on the market, but NONE of them have even CLOSE to 10% energy! It's ridiculous! So my suggestion is to take away the energy requirement from breeding. Not from training or anything, breeding. :D

When searching for a stud, there's an option to click for 'Only Find Studs with Energy'. Use this button and only those with at least one covering left will be returned.

The breeding energy usage on the stallions was implemented to make things move forward in the game according to admin planning. By removing it, we will move backward in the game planning. No stud should have the ability to be a 'forever stud' especially when our mares are restricted to how many foals they can have in their lifetime. To age out existing studs requires them to be replaced at some point in time. This is forward progress and it is correct in any plan.
We all had to face it when it came in two? years ago and it, in many opinions, was a positive addition.

Use the energy search feature, it's quite handy. :D

You're right. I just find that a bunch of players who own rare studs haven't played in a while (the last one I checked was since October of 2018), making it nearly impossible to have them use a day to reboot their horses.

Yes, that is a problem. And one I faced directly when I was working through the entire recipe breed quests. I ended up selling a lot of these foals to some collectors throughout HWO. So there should be some... within a breed or two... in recent player accounts. Sometimes, requesting will find a stud that's not currently posted. Other times, it's just easier and quicker to make it oneself.

There are at least three rare-breed collectors that keep a number of studs available but not up, for public use. Off the top of my head however... I think two of them are MerrySmile and RareBreeds. I know there are others, but can't recall.
