Revive Retirement
Brought up many times already, I know, but this is a slightly different concept. There used to be a "Retire" button on horses' pages, and I'd like to see it return and be utilized. I'm envisioning a function where, at any point during a horse's life, regardless of whether it does or does not have foals, you can remove it from your active population. The horse will still need to be fed and housed, but it will not count toward you number of owned horses. The horse would die at it's predetermined age. I know euthanasia is not something Larissa wants around, but there needs to be some way to work around the population limit. Since retiring would not be reversible, you would have to be sure about the decision.

Re: Revive Retirement
i lost a good horse named sue ann and i want her un retired

Re: Revive Retirement
I would like to see this too. Nothing like having a herd reduction of horses you can't use or sell only to wait upwards of 10-20 years, or rehome all of their babies.

Re: Revive Retirement
Some other games utilize a 'game pasture' where the unwanted horses get sold into and can be viewed until natural passing. 'Game pastures' can also be used for a number of things, including filling competitions and funding high-purse events.
(Excluding time-consuming programming), this might fulfill all of our needs while negating the need to 'euthanize' our horses.
It also offers future use of those horses should we decide to change how it's handled.
