Red Roan and graying w/ birdcatcher spots?

Post by Anthousaa »

I can't place my finger on what this girl is. She looks like a Red Roan, but as she's gotten older she's been getting what appears to be bird-catcher spots and she's graying out. She also has very faint stripes on the legs. Will she turn out like her mum?

My guess is Graying Red Dun with indeed some birdcatcher spots
She actually is not roan, roan would be more obvious white hairs on her body. she also appears to have barring on her legs and a lighter tone on her torso from the dun compared to her legs and head which may be where you think she could be roan! I see a lot of people get those muddled up! :)

I agree with graying red dun. I also offer that the filly now has snowflakes (upper neck, just behind her cheek), so she has the Lp genes.

I disagree with 'Birdcatcher Spots'. They're not yet in the game.

No biggie. :D Many other people have thought that too. I never knew what 'birdcatcher spots' were until I started playing this game (funny the things one misses sometimes in life). My personal understanding of them, however, marks them as just a little bit larger than the largest snowflakes we see in game (I think these are medium-sized snowflakes). I don't know if that's true or not though; and when they're added to the game... what they'll look like...?? Another mystery. 8-)
