No, once I had a mare who lived to 35, and the oldest horse in HWO apparently (I’m not sure though) liver to over 50

It is as arabella123 said. By keeping a mare pregnant consistently, the mare can live for much longer. We take advantage of the fact that admin has coded that a pregnant mare simply cannot die in the game. They can pass on the day that they give birth, but if she survives the 'birth day' then by covering her again with a stallion, she'll live for another year, approximately.

My pregnant mares regularly live easily until their 27th year and very often into their 30's using this tactic. My oldest living preggers-mare lived into her early 40's. I think she passed either in her 42nd year or 43rd year.
