Dun or not?

Post by Tjigra »

I noticed recently that my mare is not only a bit too light on her sides for the rest of her body, but also has a darker line along her back. Is that minimally marked dun (inherited from similarly "a bit too light" sire) or is she just.. sun bleached or something? Here comes Alpine:

Yes, both your mare and her sire are dun!

Thanks. Didn't know dun could be so subtle in expression.
