Re: Pangare colour help
He is! He's a bay pangare, the type that extends quite a bit upward, overflowing almost the entire body. Plus, the line between pangare and normal coat is very gentle.Collector's_Holding wrote:So I’ve bred this guy I think he’s sort of pangare but I’m not sure anyone know

Thanks

I’m hoping he might get some dapples but I’m not sure he will as both his parents got dapples like 2years + and he’s 4+

Re: Pangare colour help
That's a tough break... how long do you want to wait until dapples come in? If you want to breed late-dappling horses, then by all means, wait to see, but if you want earlier-dappling ones, then is 4 years too long for you?Collector's_Holding wrote:BlackOak2 wrote:

When you choose to breed for looks, it's what you see that you'll be breeding into your lines.

I’m not sure as some of my palomino ones their dapples came in quite late but as I’m just breeding them for looks nothing else so age doesn’t really matter to me
As I age them a bit to see what their colour will be like and them train them

Re: Pangare colour help
Lighter color generally also means it's harder to see them starting to appear. Those dapples on those palo's might actually be coming in at the same time as the rest of your herd, they're just harder to spot.Collector's_Holding wrote:BlackOak2 wrote:
