I'd say cream with blanket, varnish, and tigereye. But I may be incorrect, as I'm not sure what the speckling on the muzzle means.Heartland Farms wrote:Hey Ya'll I am uncertain of her color. I think its cremello but i don't know. Please help!

The price of a memory is the memory of the sorrow it brings.
If dreams are like movies, then memories are films about ghosts.

Re: What Color is this mare?
The spotting on her nose im not worried about it was just trying to identify her color

Re: What Color is this mare?
but thank you so much

Re: What Color is this mare?
I also see some Dun striping on her legs and I believe the freckles on her muzzle means she has champagne in addition to cream.

This horse has no cream gene. After going through her pedigree and backtracking the champagne and any potential cream genes, I have come to the conclusion that although this mare has cream in her pedigree, it was not passed downward to her.
She is indeed champagne (those freckles are important for color identification, they are the result of the champagne gene itself and not just some random effect that happens on HWO). She also has roan and Lp. And also dun. Because of the combination of strongly expressed dun, the roan and the Lp (and also the uniform lightening from champagne as the horse ages), we get what we see here, a horse that looks like she has cream but in fact, does not. If she had some gallery images of her younger years (newborn and yearling are the most important), she probably would've looked a lot more like her sire. Don't let her silvery mane and tail throw you off either, this effect is a direct result of the Lp genes and not from the silver gene... at least I think. It does appear there may be the silver gene on the dame side, and it hides behind chestnuts...
So, barring the silver, I would likely name her color along the lines of: Amber Champagne Dun Roan blanket with tiger eye
