Pricing Horses
Hey! I was wondering how people go about pricing there horses? For a while I had prices for my horses that were working well but I am starting to notice people who manage to sell horses for 100k+. What makes these horses worth that much? Some of them that I see are not even trained yet.

Pricing your horses can all depend on a lot of things:Rose90067 wrote:Hey! I was wondering how people go about pricing there horses? 1. the popularity of the breed
2. The rarity of the breed
3. the rarity of the color/pattern
4. the breeders report
5. the conformation
6. the genetic potential
7. the breed evaluation
8. the COI
9. the amount of training
10. how well the horse does in competition (includes the win % and times/scores)
You can start by comparing your horses to other horses that are up for sale similar to yours or you can ask other players how much they would be willing to pay for the horse.

Re: Pricing Horses
Some other things that will also affect price is:
Pedigree
-->a specific horse in recent or distant pedigree
-->competition proof in that pedigree
-->RH development in the pedigree or development of a cousin, sibling or otherwise connected indirectly
Breeder who developed the line plays a larger part in pricing as well.
I'm sure there are other factors, but they're not coming to mind so I would think they have less weight in the price.
