So I basically just breed, train and sell. It's happened the last few times selling some of the youngsters but why do players buy horses just to cull them off? Why even buy it to begin with?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by cull. If I understand correctly your asking why some players by horses and rehome them a second later? I do know some players that buy the "lower" (normally unwanted AC horses) and rehome them to clear up some room and take them of the sellers hands. I have known of a few players who mass buy the horses that are up for sale for really cheep and rehome them to take them of the other players hands. It's interesting. I don't understand however if they are buying trained horses from you and then rehoming them. I've never heard of that.

I buy sometimes and if the horse wasn't what I wanted I might just rehome. Training wouldn't make any difference as I don't show, and are simply looking for the correct body size type etc.

Yeah I was a little confused??? All the horses I sell have some sort of training, even the foals. So it just confused me why you'd buy to rehome?
