I agree with all of you yes the stud was private and yes everyone was being kind and we have different opinions there are times when we should speak what we think but rn everyone is thinking that the other is being rude but when you think we are all agreeing with each other

If being polite is genuinely what you were going for I can offer some input.

Remember that any horse posted to the market is technically available for anyone to use.

The thread title "I'm a Tad Bit Annoyed" is not a good set up to get what you want. Try something more regular like a simple ping to get their attention. If I was the person who bred to your horse I'd already not want to do you the favour--remember it's a favour--of offering the foal back after reading this title.

I am telling you that I would have let you stud to him for a PRICE. It was pretty annoying to see that my best Pole Bending stud had been bred to for $1, twice. Also that you had wasted the last of his energy, and I really don't like ageing my horses.

Nothing about the above statement is polite. You're getting on their case for breeding to a horse they had every right to breed to. If I was in their shoes I absolutely would not want to cooperate with you at this point.

I would greatly appreciate if you would rehome or sell the foals, but that would simply make me owe you If you would be willing, it would be ever so kind if you paid me the 500k to make up for the stud fees.

This starts out okay, but more than likely you're already not on their good side as up to this point all you've done is get on their case. If I was them there is no way I'd be giving you 500k at this point. Even asking for this is rather out of line, as they had the right to breed to the horse. Your best bet at this point is to offer to buy the foals back from them or just let it go.

This is a warning, if you breed to my private stallions again, I will ban you from my services, auctions, and studs.

This is totally up to you. But remember that this is something you can do silently. Also threatening people doesn't generally make them want to cooperate with you when they are in the power position. Since you want something from them, they are in that position.

An apology would also almost make up for it, of course. I hope you read this, and I hope it was a mistake. For now I will assume it was.

They don't owe you an apology though. If they offer one then sure, but requesting one is rather arrogant. They didn't do anything wrong.

So again, if polite is really what you were aiming for, in the future try something more like:

Hello. I saw that you bred to my stallion Bandit's Jewel. I had intended for him to be private, but I understand that he was posted publicly. I would like to purchase the foals back from you if possible. Thank you for your time.

Until brood approval comes into play on the game, this is likely to continue happening. Good luck to all involved and remember that although there is no rule against it, try to observe the request of private sales. Remember that a good, happy community supplies a fair portion of the fun in an online game.

And also, remember to protect your lines. Because this will continue to happen, it is important to take steps to help prevent this.

Bitapetrone, yeah, I know. I was feeling rather angry at the time, so I did make a few mistakes when writing the post. I take full responsibility for that. Also, thanks for being pretty polite about it. I do think that I will always have a title like this, just so they know, I am not feeling "Yay! You're my best friend!" I won't lie. I am thinking up another post to try and apologize
