So maybe a 6-gen GP or 6-gen sport challenge using one (or more) of those breeds? The 6-gen sport could be fun in that, if all of the breeds were options, players could do some research before choosing to pick which one is composed of foundation breeds that have the best starting stats for their discipline.

Also, each breed is known to be specialized in a specific sport, so perhaps the Million-Dollar-Challenge could be something like highest GP, and then smaller prizes or recognition for the horse of each breed that performs best in the sport it was bred for in the real world?

A problem though is we may not have enough participants to accomplish the sport challenge part of that proposal if we don't narrow down challenge breed options. If every breed on the list is fair game, then that spreads out the types of challenges that need to be held, and it spreads out the competitors in each challenge.
Might end up with a lot of "win-by-defaults" if only one person picked to breed a certain horse.

True. I guess I was suggesting one sport be picked and, while all the breeds are an option, one might be better than the others and it's up to the contestants to guess that out, but perhaps that's too much extra difficulty.

So what about a one-sport, 6-gen challenge (could be 0% COI or not) with one pre-chosen breed, with two winners:
- Highest Genetic Potential
- Show winner

Though technically the same horse could win both.

I like a six gen competition! I would say everyone needs to "register" their starting/foundation stock and we keep it to like, "strength class" or "speed class"... maybe juxtapositioned against breeds that don't normally do well in those? IE foundation stock Arabs for the strength class? Arab with the best strength stat ONLY cross-bred from those foundations and/or other foundation stock in the same breed wins.

But I'm really down for any of this, it sounds like fantastic fun.

Thank you for all your great ideas and input! The next challenge is the 6GEN hgp challenge with a community showcase.

The 6GEN 1,000,000 challenge is very basic, with the only limitation being a 6 generation maximum. Until I'm certain on the level of interest, I don't want to make it too difficult to enter in the main event.

The community show case has more specific challenges with sponsored prizes. I hope this will give the opportunity for different breeding communities to be recognized and showcase their accomplishments within the 6GEN challenge.
