Norfolk Trotter Creation Bug?

Post by DTWarrior1 »

Hello, I am sort of new to this game and I was breeding a Norfolk Trotter which requires you to breed a Cleveland Bay/Thoroughbred with another Cleveland Bay. I did that and bred my mare Starlight with a Cleveland Bay stallion, and I got this colt.

Can someone help me? Did I do something wrong?

As far as I understand you need to purchase the book for the Norfolk trotter. The horses you are breeding need to be within the types for what you want, though some variation is ok. I had a Chickasaw and Thoroughbred cross that was 5 stars for Quarter horse, bred her to a 3 star Arabian Andalusian that was pretty close to breed standard and it took me three pregnancies to get a quarter horse. If that makes sense.

You do not need to purchase the book.

Buying the Norfolk Trotter book simply tells you how the body type, size, etc of your horse compares to that of the Norfolk Trotter. It's helpful to know what is needed to create the breed, you can use it too evaluate possible mares and sires, as well as foals. Your horse might be the right breed cross, but might be too short or too tall, too light or big in body type etc to be a Norfolk Trotter
