She's cute but I just can not quite place her color. I would very much appreciate help. Thank you!

She looks like got her color from her Sire because Sire's coat color is a Amber Cream Champagne.

Double dilute on black. In this case, two creams (no champagne present, no freckles). So Smoky Cream.InfinityThorn wrote:She's cute but I just can not quite place her color. I would very much appreciate help. Thank you!

Actually, she's a metallic smoky cream tobiano (two front stockings). The sire looks like a smoky cream dun. Mare is cremello tobiano (two front stockings).AHorseandPonyLover wrote:InfinityThorn wrote:

Champagne horses have freckles on the muzzle - sable champagnes also don't look like that.
This is what a metallic amber champagne looks like:

Tiger eye sooty dapple amber champagne:

Here's a tiger eye sable champagne dun - a normal sable champagne is just a bit darker:

Managed to find an old sable champagne, this is tiger eye sable champagne:

Thank you for giving these images. They all seem to have dark manes and tails as well! I think a lot of people on here confuse Smoky Cream for Champagne, but these are such good examples!Malakai10 wrote:Actually, she's a metallic smoky cream tobiano (two front stockings). A champagne horse with double cream, cream-pearl or double pearl will have a pale, silvery mane, tail and legs - even the bay, brown and black based ones. In fact, you might even mistake a bay with champagne and double cream/pearl/cream-pearl for a flaxen chestnut dilute.
I don't work with cream dilutes anymore, so I won't be able to show you pictures of those. I do have a lot of pearls, so I'll show you some of those pictures - a tiger eye champagne pearl is much darker than a double cream champagne or cream-pearl champagne (double cream and cream-pearl are pretty much identical.)
This horse is a grey, so her foal coat is exactly what her adult coat would have looked like had she not been grey. She's a tiger eye grey on amber pearl. (Tiger eye + bay + grey + champagne + 2 pearl). A double cream/cream-pearl would have a very pale body of a slightly different colour to the legs of this horse.

This is a tiger eye grey on classic champagne pearl (tiger eye + black + grey + champagne + 2 pearl). A double cream/cream-pearl would be very pale and light in body - the same colour as the legs of the amber pearl, actually.

This horse is either a tiger eye grullo champagne pearl (tiger eye + black + dun + champagne + 2 pearl) or a tiger eye apricot champagne dun (tiger eye + chestnut + dun + champagne + 2 pearl) but I believe he is the former, not the latter:

Here is a tiger eye amber pearl:
