Project: Conformation and BR check
I have had this project since beta to collect all the possible comments in the breeders report and to note which ones are more often appearing as red, green or gold. I have a long list of all the comments I have seen and I have been able to put them into categories of average, slightly good/bad, good/bad and really good/bad.
The list is not perfect though (I sometimes need to make changes to it) and my new goal is to see what the conformation stats are doing to the Breeders Report comments, if it has any effect on which comments appear in colour. This would need a lot of horses to check and so far I have recorded the stats of nearly 300 horses.
It would be very helpful if players (both upgraded and non-upgraded) could link their horses that have one or more of these requirements:
*Very high (more than 50) or very low (less than 15) in any conformation category.
*Red/Green/Gold comments in any skill except intelligence.
*A rare comment (these are mostly the very best or the absolut worse comments you can find on all the horses in the game at the moment).
*Has a positive comment but bad conformation or a negative comment but good conformation. (20 or more for good and less than 20 for bad)
This would help me a lot since it takes a lot of time to go through all the horses I can find from rankings, sales, competitions and players since a lot of horses have similar comments/conformation connections.

Re: Project: Conformation and BR check
I'm not currently upgraded, so I can't see the BR, but here are a few between my ranches that have a lot of gold.
This mare has four golds and a green.
Four gold stallion
Three gold stallion
Three green, three gold colt
You could probably make a lot of headway hunting around in lessthanfish's stables, Eviern. S/he has a ton of multi-green, multi-golds!

Re: Project: Conformation and BR check
All of my line horses have very high speed conformation bonuses (the lowest being a couple at 50, most above 55), so at the very least my farm presents a wide sample size of good speed conformation.
The two most anomalous horses I currently have are:
this girl

She has the lowest GP I own, but the highest speed confirmation bonus I've seen at 62, with all other bonuses over 20 at least.
And this boy

He has the lowest confirmation bonus, just under 50, but the highest genetic potential and most highly positive comments I've seen.
The rest of my stock has a wide range of positive comments as well.
I will go through them all later today when I have more time and compile a list for you of the ones that have the most uncommon breeders report statements.

Re: Project: Conformation and BR check
Thank you! This really helps me to get the best overall knowledge about how the conformation stats affects the comments. When I am done (or close to, since I don't know if this can ever be completely finished) I can share my findings with everyone if you want to know more about the connection between conformation stats and the Breeders Report comments.

The effects of conformation on the breeders report has been discussed and explained several times over. High conformation leads to lower comments still potentially being displayed as green. It's pretty straightforward. There is also already a master post of almost all of the breeders report comments and the color they tend to appear.

Yes I know this but I want to confirm how much it matters and it will also help me sort out the comments to see which ones are generally better than the others.Argent II wrote:The effects of conformation on the breeders report has been discussed and explained several times over. For example, in some skills there are several comments that point to average. One of them would most likely be generally better than the other ones, even if it is still close to average. And the very best and very worse comments should be easier to determine the order of with the conformation stats.

Re: Project: Conformation and BR check
It matters very much. Conformation has a similar effect to training in that it helps horses perform at their maximum ability. And commens overlap, so you will likely never find the exact order. Comment A might apply to value 1-6, B to 3-10, C to 5-14, so any single value could be represented by multiple comments. A general progression is probably as close as you're going to get. It just seems like you're going through a lot of work to reinvent the wheel.

Re: Project: Conformation and BR check
I already know that as well, but even if they overlap it is still a general order I am looking for, and as far as I have seen the conformation stats are also overlapping. Some seem to not fit in the general picture of how they affect the colours on comments and that is what I am trying to figure out by looking at more horses to see if it is just lack of numbers that make them look strange or not.

Oh, one more thing: you might want to separate out your data by horse gender, since male horses are programmed to be slightly better than females.
