What Colour Is He?

Post by silverstarswept »

I'm a very new player (he's my first horse, an Andalusian!), and so I'm not really sure what colour to put down.

Sorry if the picture doesn't work, she's here: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/422402
I'm thinking some kind of diluted bay thing, bay pearl maybe, or there might be some dun involved somewhere but I'm not sure at all?
Thank you!

Hi and welcome, silverstarswept!
Your picture works fine.

This is kind of a difficult colour, actually. But as your colt has one double dilute parent and the breeder is CarouselCowgirl, I think you have a sooty buckskin there.
"Normal" buckskins look something like this:

CarouselCowgirl specialises on dapples caused by Sooty which makes coats a lot darker, so I suspect that's what's going on here. Very pretty colour!

I agree with you like a smuddy buckskin.
