Appaloosa Colored Arabian

Why is the purebred Arabian I just had born colored like an Appaloosa?

Because it's sire has it, the spots are just hard to see.

Okay thanks, but why would an Arabian have that pattern? They are supposed to be solid?

I checked out your filly's pedigree and way way back tons of generations the former breeders had bred arabians to grade horses, caspians, shetlands, and appaloosas most likely to put spots into their arabians. Your filly there is just the outcome of tons of cross breeding! Not all breeders stick to the color standard of real life horses, for example I'm working to put the pearl gene in chincoteague ponies and in general you'll find a lot of variations here, accidental or intended

Yes, she is still purebred. If she weren't, it would say she was a part, half, or mixed Arabian and give you a percentage.

I have a ton of spots in my arabians now, purely out of accidental breeding haha
I think they're pretty cute, although I'm currently trying to get rid of spots
